I am not thinking of Sun City yet but it will not be long.

Ed, sounds like you may want to check out the sport, it's an excellent way to meet people, getting to know the neighbors all while exercising.

Tim, when I built my home in Sun City Grand I wasn't thinking about retirement or living a retirement community either. Now I'm glad I did.

Leolinda: Have you written about pickleball before? I seem to remember a post a few months back. From the video, which is hilarious, it seems to me that:

  1. Pickleball is played on tennis courts.
  2. The paddles are inspried by ping pong paddles but shaped differently and maybe a little larger?
  3. Pickleball is a little less strenuous that tennis.  Am I correct that the ball moves a little slower or is that just the players?

For four years prior to becoming a Realtor, I was the Director of Development for a major nonprofit tennis center in Philadelphia. Most of our participants were inner city kids and tennis offered a chance to learn a sport, get exercise and develop life skills. It was and still is an excellent program. Seeing all of those tennis courts and so well maintained made me really jealous. I still see tennis courts everywhere - driving by new neighborhoods, driving on major highways, even from planes. LOL

Wonderful post. Thank you for sharing and I just loved the video.

Leolinda I've never played this game but it sure looks like fun.  And a great way to get out and meet your neigbors.
