Do you recognize these hounds? Helping Orphaned Hounds is a non-kill shelter in Arizona.
The shelter is looking for the owner of these hounds. Evidently the dog's owner received his orders for Iraq and left the dogs in care of his neighbor. These yellow Labradors are named Wyatt and Storm.
Unfortunately a glitch occured after the solder deployed. The person who agreed to care for the dogs became allergic and surrendered the two labradors to the Arizona Humane Society. They were later transferred to Helping Orphaned Hounds for assistance.
I felt extremely compassionate after seeing a video of these beautiful animals. They are presently residing at Boulder Falls Pet Resort on East Deer Valley Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The dogs will be held at the shelter until the soldier and his pets can be reunited. If you know Wyatt and Storm's "soldier-dad", have him contact Helping Orphaned Hounds at 406-697-5975.

Leolinda I sure hope you're able to reunite the 'boys' and their Dad. Let us know how it turns out.
Have a great holiday weekend!
Good luck Leolinda. I'm sure their owner will appreciate your effort.
Anna, it would be very nice if these animals could be reunited with their owner. They do not have microchips. It will be a challenge.
Jeff, it's difficult not to care.
I caught this at the tail end of the news tonight. Thank you for getting it out there. I'm going to reblog this - these beauties need all the exposure they can get.
Juli, thank you for the reblog. After seeing them playing together on TV this morning I knew I had to do something.
Hi Leolinda, I did a Facebook like above, and on Juli's re-blog as well.
Maybe others can do the same. I also posted the link on the Facebook wall of someone I know who has a husband over there too. If everyone can do the same it will really get the word out. It can go viral in no time on Facebook!
Oh wow, that is terrible, that is just so non American.
have a great weekend.
Angela, anything little will be better than nothing at all. This person needs to be found. I appreciate your diligence.
Lisa, it is a travesty to both an American hero and his pets.
Leolinda, That is so sad!! I'm amazed that the neighbor would not have found another home for the dogs. I had to tell our son that our dog had passed away on instant messenger while he was in Iraq. It was so hard I cried for a week. He did not want to come home without a dog to greet him and so we found a new friend before he plane home ever hit the ground. He is now out of the Army but these stories just hit home.
Marchel, I lost my 15 year old little girl last week and can totally relate with your story. I purchased her when she was a week old and brought her home when she was 5 weeks old. The stories are many, with laughter, playtime, fun and acceptance. I can only imagine what Wyatt and Storm's owner will experience when he returns.
I hope these two babies are reunited quickly with their owner! I am sure both parties are missing each other greatly!
Stephanie, I would like to be a fly on the wall when the again see one another.
I am new to this group and this just breaks my heart, both for the dogs and the soldier. What a heartless way to handle the situation. I hope that the shelter has the resources to do a thorough search so that a reunion can take place. I believe that there is a group that fosters dogs for deployed soldiers, too.
