Each Fall residents in Sun City Grand have a community yard sale at the Sonoran Plaza Parking lot. 
As a Sun City Grand resident, I look forward to the garage sale. It's a time that I can probably meet my neighbors and friends, socialize, eat, relax and purchase that little trinket that I can't live without. Only Sun City Grand residents are able to sell items at the yard sale however thousands of people attend the event, coming from all over the valley to purchase that special item.
There are 9550 single family style home-sites in Sun City Grand and 252 condominiums. Sun City Grand is a Del Webb community with over 20,000 people calling it home. Sun City Grand homeowners association owns and manages four world class championship golf courses. Sun City Grand offers a variety of activities at two highly upgraded resort-like recreation centers. This Arizona Adult Community offers its residents four swimming pools, numerous tennis courts, pickle ball courts, bocce ball, a softball field, art studios, aerobic studios, and numerous clubs and events.
This year the Sun City Grand Community Garage Sale will be held on November 6, 2010 from 7am to 12 noon. Be sure to mark your calendars for this popular annual event.

I always enjoy community garage sales as the amount of opportunities for the people shopping and selling are dramatically increased.
Garage sales are a great way for people to come together in a community event that ultimately helps everybody who is involved either buying or selling.

Leolinda, the community where I live has two garage sales a year and we are not allowed to have them on an individual basis unless someone is moving. So our sales are extremely well attended and profitable!
Kathy, interesting since my car has the same steering mechanism, spots garage sales then stops. A good feature that Mercedes included.

Sharon, it's the same here, individual sales not allowed resulting in extremely popular and profitable sales. Besides that, it keeps the community pristine.
Leolinda, what a fabulous idea to write a blog post about the Sun City Grand Community Garage Sale...sounds like fun! We used to live in a community that also had garage sales twice a year and I agree with the fact that it keeps the community pristine. :)
