Grand Avenue (Highway 60) is a major transportation route throughout Phoenix. It begins in downtown Phoenix and extends northwest to Wickenburg, a common route Phoenicians use when traveling to Laughlin and Las Vegas. R H Johnson Bl, Grand Avenue and Sunrise is the route of choice when traveling within the Sun Cities. This is an extremely busy intersection. Presently Grand Avenue is being expanded to six lanes, with lots of heavy machinery and construction that should be finished by the end of summer, before our winter visitors arrive.
This afternoon I left Sun City Grand to Sun City West, over Sunrise to RH Johnson and returned about 45 minutes later. Whatever or whomever hit the traffic sign did it within that short period of time. I sure hope no one got hurt.

Leolinda... What a mess! It sounds like a great expansion project for people traveling in the area. But until it's finished I bet there will be a lot of traffic issues.

Carra, the construction starts in Sun City and extends to Surprise past the Sun City Grand entrance. It's about 6 miles of one lane in each direction that's been in progress for the past two months.
