Sun City Grand Real Estate: Phoenix Arizona Retirement Communities Blog by Leolinda Bowers

Friday's Fotos ~ A Family Affair

This Spring I blogged about my husband's excuse for not mowing the yard.  I've watched this covey scurry through my Sun City Grand home all summer long.  They are adults now, but they still hang around and each morning at least 8 of them greet me by walking up and down my backyard wall.  There were only 5 greeting me this morning.

Steve, even though I haven't ever fed them, they probably feel safe in my yard due to the mature trees.  Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We have a ton of birds that live in the tall bamboo next to our home. It can get noisy in the summer, but it is wonderful to wake up too

Gerry, the only time I hear the quail is when they are warning each other of danger.

Leolinda, My parents used to live in Glendale AZ and I remember seeing quail on the top of their wall just like in your photo.

Richard, it may be a regular habit or a safe place away from the coyotes.
