Roadway Opening Celebration Bell Road to Deer Valley Drive Sun City West AZ
Maricopa County Department of Transportation has invited all Sun City West AZ homeowners to participate with the road dedication ceremony on Monday September 20, 2010 at 11:30am. The ceremony will be held at the intersection of El Mirage Road and Wescott Drive, marking the completion of El Mirage Road that runs parallel to the east wall of Sun City West properties.
The newly three-mile stretch of El Mirage Rood extends from Bell Road northward to Loop 303. The four lane road contains bike lines and two "all-weather" crossings of the McMicken Dam. The road contains rubberized asphalt surface treatment that is intended on decreasing vehicle noise.
The new route will provide an alternative and better access to the Arizona West Valley communities and Northwest Valley homesites, an artery of traffic that is greatly needed.
As a Sun City West homeowner I'm delighted to see the road being moved away from the community wall and its adjacent properties. I'm sure that most other Sun City West homeowners share the same sentiment.
