Sun City West Palo Verde Patchers Quilt Club
Sun City West Arizona has one of the most active quilting club in the state, the Palo Verde Patchers Quilt Club. Quilters move to this age restricted community specifically to join the quilting club since only Sun City West residents participate. The club has over 200 active members with various levels of quilting expertise.
The Palo Verde Quilters has been recently involved in Quilts of Valor (quilts for our wounded troops) and Quilts for the Needy. They club's recent food drive collected over 650 pounds of food for Saint Mary's Food Bank.
Palm Ridge Recreation Center is the location of their next quilt show. It will be held on February 12 and 13, 2011. Over 100 quilts will be on display for the public to marvel over the talents of this group of quilters.
