Twice each year residents in Sun City West Arizona have a community garage sale at the R.H. Johnson parking lot, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West. Sun City West AZ is an unincorporated active adult 55+ community with 17,300 residences that were developed by Del Webb Corporation. Sun City West is home to approximately 35,000 people and four recreation centers, 3 indoor pools, 3 outdoor swimming pools, bowling, billiards, tennis courts, handball courts, pickle ball courts, racquetball courts, pet park, softball field, over 100 established clubs and year-round activities.
As a Sun City West homeowner, I look forward each year to the garage sale; it's a time that I can probably meet my neighbors and friends, socialize, eat, relax and purchase that little trinket that I can't live without. Only Sun City West residents are able to sell items at the yearly garage sale. The public is invited and thousands of people attend the event, coming from all over the valley to purchase that special item.
This year the Sun City West Community Garage Sale will be held on October 23, 2010 7am to 1pm. Be sure to mark your calendars for this popular annual event
The Sun City West Arizona Community Garage Sale 2010, is sponsored by the Recreation Centers of Sun City West.
Approximately 200 vendors will be participating. It's convenient having all these vendors in one location. Concession stands will be sell coffee, dough-nuts and beverages.
Be sure to get there early, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to shop till you drop.
