Sun City Grand Real Estate: Phoenix Arizona Retirement Communities Blog by Leolinda Bowers

The Sky is Falling in Sun City Grand Arizona!

My husband called me asking me to buy extra bread and milk, just in case we got snowed in.  Snow?  In Arizona?  Snow, in Surprise Arizona?  YES!  It was just a little flurry that lasted only a few minutes.  People were still talking about the snow this evening as we waited to be seated for dinner.  The white stuff fell from the sky and melted before touching the ground.  Cold weather is an anomaly in Phoenix.  The last time snow was seen in Phoenix was on February 14, 1990.

I took this picture of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor in Honolulu on Tuesday.  It was 75 degrees and a little overcast.

This afternoon I took these pictures of the Bradshaw Mountains on my way to Sun City Festival in Buckeye.  Snow is frequently seen dusting the tops of the Bradshaws during the winter but RARELY in Phoenix.
