The golf courses of Sun City Grand in Surprise Arizona
Sun City Grand in Surprise Arizona has some of the most luxurious golf courses in any of the Arizona retirement communities. Sun City Grand is an active adult community with residents 45 years and older. There are four championship golf courses in Sun City Grand, all owned by the Sun City Grand residents homeowners association. Sun City Grand golf courses are not a financial drain to the community; the Sun City Grand golf courses are self-supporting with a high demand for play.
Cimarron Golf Course is considered to be indisputably the most challenging. Each December many Sun City Grand residents play in an invitational tournament. Last year's tournament was held at Cimarron Golf Course. The upcoming tournament will be held at the Desert Springs Golf Course.
These pictures were taken when I played in last year's tournament. Golfing in 70 degree weather in mid-December is the epitome of your active lifestyle in an Arizona adult community.
Cimarron Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course with the look and feel of a Hawaiian or Palm Springs course, characterized by more than 500 palm trees. Fairways are wide, well-manicured with winterized grass from tee to green. Nine of the eighteen holes are embraced and guarded by lakes. Our 3 cut level undulating greens are capable of accepting the perfect approach shot. Each hole has four well-maintained tees for any level of golfer.
