I drove into Phoenix to join friends for dinner yesterday. It was about 6pm when I arrived at the restaurant. Just before walking in I saw this huge ominous cloud heading towards me. I quickly moved my car to a covered parking stall then went inside the restaurant.
Visibility inside looking out was almost nil, very dark - similar to 11pm. According to the news it was not a haboob, just a huge dust storm. You can't imagine how dirty the streets became in its aftermath. Although covered, my car was filthy. That's the second storm in recent days. I've been to the car wash four times in two weeks.
This is weather continues, I may change occupations. Now let's see, be a Realtor® or own a car wash.
