Tonight's Arizona news reported 6,000 lightening strikes per hour in central Phoenix. On my way home in Sun City Grand I stopped to take a few pictures. The 7th tee box at Cimarron Golf Course in Sun City Grand is always a memorable sight. There are several hundred palm trees in Sun City Grand, reminding me constantly of my hometown in Hilo Hawaii.
The storm was brewing in central Phoenix and on its way to the west 
valley. As I captured the first picture, I turned east and took a second picture. It was a sure sign to get home. Arizona haboobs and storms always make the news however the only effect of tonight's weather in Sun City Grand was dirt on my black car.
Sun City Grand is an age restricted community in which one homeowner must be 45 with no permanent resident under 19. Renters must be 55.
